Summer 2026

Summer in Vhalandar
Summer has arrived, bringing sunshine, busy workdays, and plenty of exciting developments. The past few months have been filled with new creations, new ideas, and perhaps the biggest milestone of all: bringing Vhalandar into the real world for the very first time.

☀️ Bringing Vhalandar into the real world
This spring and summer marked my first fantasy events, and last weekend I spent two wonderful days at Slag om Doornenburg, held at Castle Doornenburg in the Netherlands.

It was an inspiring and motivating experience. I learned so much about what catches people’s attention, which creations make them smile, and what they enjoy discovering. I met so many lovely people, received countless compliments, and heard the word “cute” more times than I could possibly count! Even visitors who wouldn’t normally describe themselves as fantasy lovers stopped to admire the craftsmanship and tiny details.

One of the highlights was meeting someone who already followed Vhalandar on Facebook and had come specifically to visit my stand. Since I’ve spent the past few years focusing mainly on international customers, it was incredibly rewarding to discover that Vhalandar is slowly becoming known here in the Netherlands as well.

Preparing for the events also gave Vhalandar a fresh new look. Designing a banner and new business cards made me realize it was time to update the logo as well. The new design feels cleaner, more professional, and a better reflection of the world Vhalandar has become.

📅 Meet me this summer
The adventure isn’t over yet! I’ll be attending two more fantasy events in August and September, and I’d love to meet more of you in person. I’ve recently added an Events Calendar to my website, where you’ll find all upcoming dates, locations, and links to the official event pages. If you’re nearby, please stop by and say hello!

A growing community
The past few weeks have also brought an unexpected surprise online. Two of my recent Facebook reels reached far beyond my usual audience, welcoming nearly 200 new followers to Vhalandar. For a small creator, that’s an amazing milestone, so if you’re one of those new faces: welcome! I’m so happy you’ve found your way here, and I hope you’ll enjoy wandering through this little fantasy world.

🛒 A new webshop
After a rather quiet period on Etsy, I finally decided it was time to launch something I’d been planning for a long time: my own webshop. It’s still a work in progress, so not everything has been added yet, but over time it will become the home of my largest collection of creations. Prices there will generally be slightly lower than on Etsy. While an independent webshop comes with its own costs, such as payment services, it also gives me a little more flexibility.

For now, the webshop ships to the Netherlands and the United States. For customers in other countries, Etsy remains the best option while international regulations continue to be rather complicated.

🌿 New creations
The enthusiasm surrounding my recent Facebook reels inspired me to explore even more miniature creations. One of the newest additions is the Curiosity Box, and I’ve already made five of them—two of which found new homes during the market last weekend.

I also created two brand-new creatures especially for the events: the grumpy little Grumblelogs and some tiny mushroom companions called Brumbles. They come in many different forms and expressions. At the moment I’m not sure if they’ll become permanent additions to the webshop, so if either of them has stolen your heart, feel free to send me a message.

Besides those, I’ve completed two new Curiosity Cabinets (one has already found a new home!) and two new Witch Shelves, which will be added to the webshop very soon. And, of course, there are already plenty more ideas waiting to be brought to life.

Thank you, as always, for following this journey. Whether you’ve been here for years or have only just discovered Vhalandar, your support means more than you know.

Until next time, may your summer be filled with hidden woodland paths, curious little creatures, and a little everyday magic.
