Brynnel is unlike most of his kind. While the Nissri are known for mischief and motion, he carries stillness within him — a listener rather than a trickster, more inclined to help a bird with a broken wing than to lead travelers astray. He keeps small herbs and forest finds tucked into his pouch and is often seen tending to moss-beds or tiny roots that others trample without notice.

He was not always this calm. In his younger days, Brynnel chased the wild joy of the woods, tumbling through leaves with his twin sister, Brynna, whose laughter echoed louder than the wind itself. Where she darted into trouble, he followed, often patching scraped knees and tangled wings. Over time, his curiosity turned to care — not for adventure, but for life itself.

Those who know the Nissri speak of the twins as two halves of the same melody — Brynna the high, bright note that stirs the forest awake, Brynnel the steady rhythm beneath it. Where she carries the mischief of the wild, he keeps its wisdom. And in the quiet after her laughter fades, his voice can sometimes be heard, softly calling her home.
