Winter draws near in Vhalandar
With the holidays approaching, Vhalandar slowly shifts into its winter rhythm. Fires are lit earlier, the forests grow quieter, and the year begins to fold in on itself. December always feels like a moment to pause — to look back, and to gather energy for what lies ahead.

There is, however, one rather unexpected development I want to share first.

🏷️ A small shop interruption
Since very recently, Vhalandar Crafts is officially registered as a business. While this is an important and exciting step forward, it also came with an unforeseen side effect: Etsy has temporarily placed the shop in holiday mode while they verify my details. This process should take only a few days, but admittedly, it’s not the most convenient timing so close to Christmas. Had I known this in advance, I might have postponed it slightly — but here we are.
Once the shop is back online, a gentle reminder for those hoping to order something in time for the holidays: please don’t wait too long. For US customers, the good news remains that FedEx delivery has proven to be remarkably fast — often around five working days — though of course, with the end-of-year rush, no guarantees can be made.
*Update: the shop is back online!

🎥 Finding the right rhythm
Over the past weeks, I’ve continued leaning into short reels and behind-the-scenes glimpses. These have been received warmly and have brought new eyes to the world of Vhalandar, which is incredibly encouraging. It has been interesting (and sometimes a little bittersweet) to notice that my longer Lore of Vhalandar posts tend to draw far less attention on social media, despite being so close to my heart.
That said, website statistics do show that lore tied to specific creatures does lead visitors deeper into the site — which reassures me that the stories are finding their audience, even if more quietly. Storytelling remains an essential part of this world, and I have no intention of letting it fade.

🌱 New arrivals
Despite the seasonal slowdown, several new creations have made their way into Vhalandar recently:
Four new Rootlings (those familiar mandrake-like beings)
– The return of the fairy chairs, absent from the shop for a while
Yrisel and Tryll, two new Nissri
– A new Curiosity Cabinet, filled with quiet details and small discoveries
Each of them has found — or is about to find — their place in the gallery and lore.

Yrisel the Frost-Leaf Nissri – handcrafted fantasy creature with ice-blue hair, pale speckled skin and woodland features – unique polymer clay art doll by Vhalandar Crafts – mythical forest miniature.
Tryll the Hollow-Sense Nissri – handmade fantasy creature figurine with wild brown hair, blue eyes and woodland detailing – artisan polymer clay sculpture by Vhalandar Crafts – magical forest creature collectible.

🔮 A glimpse of what’s coming
Behind the scenes, I’ve been working for quite some time on a mysterious new creature. Some of you may have seen early teasers — even before it was painted or fully dressed. It is now nearing completion, though its heavily decorated attire demands patience.
This creature will not be introduced lightly. When the time comes, I will share its arrival through a short series of story posts, unfolding its background over several days. It promises to be a tense and atmospheric tale — one that I hope will draw you in. Keep an eye on Facebook, and for those who might miss it there, the story will also appear on the website. I expect to reveal it around Christmas.

Thank you, as always, for being here — whether you quietly read along, follow the process, or support this world in your own way.

Until next time, may the quiet paths of Vhalandar guide you gently through the winter.
