mountain Mimkin

On the slopes and crags of Eryndal dwell the Mountain Mimkin, elusive beings who cloak themselves in the very stone and bloom of the highlands. To the untrained eye they are indistinguishable from their surroundings — a patch of moss, a scatter of pebbles, a boulder crowned with flowers. Only when they stir does the illusion fall away, revealing lives woven into the mountainside itself.

By day they lie hidden among stone and flower; by night their presence lingers in faint tremors, shifting shadows, or the echo of unseen steps. In their stillness the highlands feel alive, as though the mountains themselves are quietly watching.

Pymblets

In the high meadows of the Eryndal mountains dwell tiny, hidden folk draped in wildflowers and shrubbery leaves. So perfect is their disguise that most travelers pass them by without ever knowing they were watched.

bryndel

Larger kin to the Pymblets, the Bryndel dwell on the rocky meadows of Eryndal’s lower slopes. With skin like weathered stone and crowns of alpine flowers, they blend so completely into their surroundings that even seasoned wanderers mistake them for pebbles and small boulders.

Grumblestones

Small as pebbles yet twice as ill-tempered, the Grumblestones lurk along the slopes of Eryndal Heights, their glowing red eyes peering at every passerby. Forever grumpy, they take great delight in mischief: rattling loose stones and nudging at pebbles to send tiny rockslides tumbling down. Though their efforts rarely amount to more than a startled glance from travelers, the Grumblestones remain convinced of their own menace, scowling at a world that never seems to take them seriously.
