What a joy that you’ve found your way to my website. Welcome to Vhalandar! Today marks the official launch of the site — and with it, the very first news post.
Over the past weeks I’ve poured countless hours into shaping this space, and I’m so proud of the result. Vhalandar has truly come to life: a place where all the stories and creatures now gather in one home. I’m curious how your journey through the site will feel, and I hope you enjoy wandering through the lore and meeting the creatures as much as I enjoyed creating them. 🌿 Old friends return
While writing new lore, I felt it was time to bring back some familiar faces who had long since vanished from the shop. Several of them have now returned to the gallery and Etsy, including:
Tylax of the Vhalandir
Mirrin and Farryn of the Fauknir
Lyrell the Peddler of the Eltarians
And there’s more on the way! The Pymblets and Bryndel will soon find their place again too (long-time followers may remember them as Pippip and Kekkek). Keep an eye on Facebook for their official arrival — or simply watch the gallery here and on Etsy, where they’ll appear as soon as they’re ready.

🎃 Awakened Tombstones
As the nights grow longer and Halloween draws near, the Awakened Tombstones have risen once more. These eerie guardians of forgotten graves stir only once a year, their stone faces whispering tales of the beyond. You’ll find them now in the Limited Editions Gallery and in my Etsy shop — but not for long! When November arrives, they will return to their slumber, not to awaken again until next autumn.

✈️ Shop update & US shipping
From Tuesday, September 23 to Friday, October 3, the Etsy shop will be closed while I enjoy a late-summer holiday in England — a land of castles and legends where I hope to gather plenty of inspiration for new creatures. Orders placed before Monday, September 22 will still ship before I leave.
Shipping has been a bit of an adventure lately. With the recent suspension of the de minimis rule in the United States, import duties are now being charged on all packages. As a result, many European postal services — including the one I normally use in the Netherlands — have temporarily halted shipments to the US.
After much searching I’ve found a courier solution that still allows me to ship overseas. The good news: delivery is much faster (around 5 working days instead of 2–3 weeks!). The less-good news: the costs are higher than the regular service, so unfortunately I’ve had to add separate shipping fees for US orders. For all other countries, shipping remains included in the listed price.
The legality of these new import duties is being contested in court, with a new ruling expected mid-October. Until then, I can’t predict when regular post services will resume shipping to the US. While the situation is far from ideal, I’m glad to at least have found a reliable way to continue sending creatures across the ocean.

🐾 What’s next?
Creating the lore for the website has sparked a flood of inspiration — both for brand new creatures and for reviving some old favorites. My hands have been tied up with web work lately, but after my holiday I’m eager to return to sculpting and storytelling.
