Marsh Mimkin

In the wetlands of Dreomere, where roots twist through standing water and mists coil between reeds, dwell the Marsh Mimkin. Cloaked in moss, lichen, and damp soil, they blend seamlessly into the draped forest floor. To most they appear as nothing more than sodden hummocks or patches of moss, until the marsh itself seems to stir and a watchful shape slips back beneath the roots.

Like their kin in forest and mountain, the Marsh Mimkin are elusive and shy, yet they shape their world in quiet ways. They tend to damp soil, keep rot in balance, and guide the spread of moss and reed alike. Most remain unseen, humming softly when rain thickens the air, as though in chorus with the marsh itself. Among them, the Mosslings are the best known — keepers of shadowed glades where the ground is never dry, and every stone carries a skin of velvet green.

mosslings

Shimmering and elusive, the Sylthae drift between leaf and starlight, their presence more often felt than seen. Born of dew and dawn, they linger in glades and hidden clearings, weaving threads of light between blossom and bark. Some are sly and wingless, tricksters who vanish with the rustle of leaves, while others bear gossamer wings, wandering as gentle keepers of the forest’s quiet wonder.
